Care Givers in Faith

by Editor

What is the “new thing” that you have perceived God doing?

New Ministry Team, Care Givers in Faith (CGIF)–lay members’ response to needs of others within the congregation (both acute and more chronic needs)

How are you cooperating with God in this activity?  How can other Christians and congregations help?

Our congregation members have linked into a website that allows members of the team to sign up for participation within a schedule.  The website is a scheduler that  other congregations could use for the same purpose within their congregation.

From where did this “new thing” spring forth?  What need is God acting to meet through this activity?

It sprang from the need to respond to a member who suffered a tragic car accident needing support, whose family also needed support.

What can you share to help others meeting this need?

I am just learning about he website scheduler and plan to set up a schedule for supporting a member who recently had to move from her motehr’s homje into a nursing facility for PT and assisted living – support during her transition.

What have you learned through this activity?  Is there anything that you would do differently knowing what you know now?

Too early for me to know yet.
