God is Calling Us Together in Mission

What is the “new thing” that you have perceived God doing?

God is bringing us together to do more mission work in the field.

How are you cooperating with God in this activity?  How can other Christians and congregations help?  

I have headed up the committee to assist Manna on Main Street,  which is a place to feed the homeless and people of all ages who are struggling in their lives.

I am also participating in Code Blue, which is a homeless shelter that provides food and housing when temperatures reach dangerous levels.

I currently do see other congregations helping in both causes.

From where did this “new thing” spring forth?  What need is God acting to meet through this activity?  

With the economy in the shape it is in, congregational members feel the need to reach out and spread the ,”Good News”.

The need to reach out and be disciples of Christ out in our community.

What can you share to help others meeting this need?

I feel if I continue to participate and share my experiences, others will follow and they will see the joy in helping others.
